An article appeared center page on The Times today, briefly detailing the history of mental health care in Malta. The article makes for some interesting reading and serves to advertise the 'Museum of Psychiatry' found at the Mount Carmel Hospital premises. It is a pity that the author did not mention nurses specializing in psychiatry as being one of the major advances that took place in the hospital these past years - instead choosing to delve into the ‘work scheme at the hospital’ as an example of a positive change that occurred in recent years.
